Comic! (Couldn’t think of a title for this one)
This is the first comic I’ve completed on Windows 10. I’m actually pleasantly surprised, I didn’t run into any major or unfixable issues. The one issue I did have was that the newest Wacom driver for my tablet was somehow bugged or incompatible and caused major lag while drawing in Manga Studio, but rolling back to a previous version of the driver fixed the problem.
Ironically, my girlfriend is the one who found the solution. And I’m the one working in technical support. I will admit that I don’t have nearly as much patience when searching for solutions to technical issues at home than I do at work when I’m actually getting paid for it.
Another funny thing is that Microsoft sends you its “How do you like Windows 10, from 1 to 5” survey a whole 5 minutes (and I’m generous) after the upgrade before you have time to try any of the features.
My computer didn’t explode in a million pieces, so… 5 I guess? Not sure what kind of feedback they’re expecting.
Anyhow, comic-wise, today’s comic is a bit more serious than what we’re used to. Don’t worry, I’m not going to turn this comic into a social awareness platform, but it’s not all rainbows and unicorns, and alcohol addictions also happen in a fantasy world. In fact, in the real world, Dwarves livers probably wouldn’t last more than 45 years.
In a couple of comics, we will introduce a major villain for the first time. It’s a storyline I had played out in my mind for a long time, and I’m excited that it’s now upon us. I hope you’ll like it as much as I do 🙂
See you next week!
M$ has improved; I can remember when they made the feedback review part off the installation.
They do seem to be learning. I remember when they used to make Windows Millennium :7
